Punjab Approved New Transport Policy To Maintain System
Punjab cabinet has approved the new transport policy and this is done to streamline the issuance of permits and licences across commercial and private transport vehicles. This will help to check on the illegally plying buses and cabinet has decided that they will weed out all the illegal buses as soon as possible.

What Is Included In New Transport Policy:

The cabinet has taken this desicion to hire special task force to keep their eyes on the illegal things happening in trasport system. The state government will take care about the public and seek a time period of three months from the court to implement the scheme in phased manner. After this scheme implenemtation some strict action will be taken and that will include:
- Permits of 5,432 buses indulging in extension/diversion of routes and another 6,700 minibuses, will be cancelled and allotted afresh.
- If the number of eligible applications received for a particular route is more than the number of permits, lots will be drawn to allot permits.
- For private operators there will be no more than 25% permits will be issued for one person.
- Permits issued under this scheme will be valid for a period of five years from the date of issue.
- After renewal permits will be valid for next five years.
The state government to control the illegal actions will gradually increase the state transport undertakings’ share in luxury bus service and take it under the control of the state. After the implementation of the scheme government will try to end the private mafia control over these high-revenue bus routes.

Chandigarh to Jaipur Direct Morning flight Will Start on July 17

Previously Chandigarh started two direct flights to Jaipur in the evening time and now soon Chandigarh people can travel in morning flights from Chandigarh to Jaipur. Presently there are two flights for travelers from Chandigarh to Jaipur after 4 pm in evening.

Already Chandigarh boasts two direct flights to Jaipur, but both are in the evening. Those wanting to travel in the morning to Jaipur can travel in the jet airways soon and who want to travel in the evening can board the Spicejet flight at 6.10 pm or the Jet Airways’ other flight at 4.10 pm.

Timings of New Flights From Chandigarh to Jaipur are:

Already there are two non-stop flights from Chandigarh to Jaipur, but on the people demands Chandigarh will soon start flights in the morning times. Now people from the region will be able to take a direct morning flight to Jaipur from the Chandigarh International airport. It will start from July 17. Jet Airways will start the Chandigarh-Jaipur flight with departure at 11:15 am from July 17. It will reach the Pink City at 12:45 pm. The starting fare for the daily flight is around Rs 2,500 for a one-way journey.

Robbery At Chandigarh Sai Temple in Sector 29 of Rs 7 Lac

Recently, a news of robbery from Chandigarh Sai Temple came in limelight, where a robber entered the temple from the rear door to rob money from the temple. He succeeded to rob around Rs 7 lac from The Shirdi Sai Samaj Temple of Sector 29, Chandigarh.

Robbery At Chandigarh Sai Temple:

The Sai Temple that is located in Sector 29, Chandigarh faced robbery for the very first time. This is the famous devotional place in Chandigarh where a large number of devotees come and give a huge amount of donation. This temple security is tight and no one can easily do robbery there but after tight security that person theft huge amount from temple premises. The news of robbery reached to the workers of the temple after two hours of the incident. Then trust members checked the amount and they found around 7 lac are missing and the thief did not take any other things like jewelry from there. The thief entered the temple area at 2:45 am from the rear door of the temple and with help of wall he reached the window of the first floor and then he cut the mesh of the window to enter inside the temple. The thief had covered his face and also sprayed paint on CCTV cameras to hide his identity. After the robbery, he left the path from the same temple.

Police Found The Culprit:

Robbers choose Thursday for robbery because on this day huge crowd comes to the place and police investigated the case and checked all the CCTV footages. After 36 hours of investigation, Police caught the culprit. He was the devotee of the temple and lives in sector 29. His name is Sonu and he took the help of his friend Ajay in this robbery. Police found around 3.47 lac from him. According to the police, they both have investigated properly about the temple before committing this crime.
Children Found Hand Grenade Near Ghaggar

Recently, a news came in the limelight where a hand grenade was found near the Ghaggar river on Tuesday evening. Some children were playing there and they found hand grenade there but they did not have an idea about this so they went to their parents and then their parents throw that grenade outside and then inform the police about it.

What Police Said about The Hand Grenade:

When children showed that grenade to the parents then they got afraid and threw hand grenade outside the home and inform the Police. Police reached the spot and then started an investigation and they found that Hand grenade was in defused condition. According to the police, Children while playing there, found the hand grenade, which was in a defused condition and can not harm. But the grenade has been handed over to the CIA branch and probe has begun. Police said that this might be reached here through the river. This could have damaged the nearby places if it was not in diffused condition but fortunately, it was diffused.

Wagers Hired By Drug Peddlers In Chandigarh For Supplying Drugs

Increasing drug cases in Chandigarh Tarnishing the image of the city and according to the Police, there is a network of Drug Peddlers In Chandigarh that is taking orders for drugs on the phone and delivering to clients to their locations. This got confirmed after a person named Amit got arrested. He was from Nepal and nowadays living in Kharar. He was working under a drug peddler named Sonu and was delivering drugs to the people in different locations. On Friday Amit got arrested when he was going to deliver the drugs and Police found around 24 buprenorphine injections and eight gram of smack.

According to the Amit, he was paid Rs. 1000 per day for selling and delivering drugs. Police said, all the dealing occurred on phone and after that, he delivered the drugs to the clients to their location. Amit, who was arrested started working with Sonu 15 days ago. He also has a habit of having alcohol and His parents wanted him to stay away from all such things. So, they shifted to Kharar but to earn money he started delivering drugs for Sonu and was getting 1000 Rs. per day. This the first case came into limelight in Chandigarh where drugs are supplying on phone. According to the sources, Sonu who is one of Drug Peddlers In Chandigarh has appointed many people to supply drugs to his clients.

Police have registered a case against Amit under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Amit told to Police he used to sell the drugs at different rates like to supply smack he charged Rs. 500 per pouch and for injection he charges Rs. 300 and to work he used Phone and number that is given to him by Sonu. This is very serious issues because it is spreading its tentacles around the city and affected many youngsters. They are future of Country and they should not ruin their precious life.

Soon Sector 17, 19 and 22 Will be No-Vending Zone In Chandigarh

People of Chandigarh will soon miss the street shopping and other street food like momos, golgappa, even the shopping of Jewellery at their favourite place sector 17 and Other sectors like 19 and 22 that are also known for their cheap clothes and cheap food will have the same fate as Sector 17 soon because UT Administration along with the Municipal Corporation will now declare these places as No-vending zones.

These sectors are famous for shopping on the rehri and cheap things people can get there. But now all the chat rehri’s, and rehri’s will not find a place in Chandigarh’s famous market areas.

No-vending zone In Chandigarh

Sectors 17, 19 and 22 are famous sectors in Chandigarh and they are known for the shopping. Some people go there to shopping purpose and some only to mooch around the market. Sector 19 and 22 are cheap markets and people can buy clothes of every style by paying fewer expenses there. But soon people would not see any rehri in these markets because they are included in no-vending zones. After this other Sector including 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 23, 36, 54 and 46 will be included in no-vending Zone. MC did the survey under street vendor Act, 2014 in July 2016 and decided that they will make Chandigarh No-vending zone.

Vendors Have To Pay Vending Fee

There are chances available for those who can pay vending charges to the authorities otherwise they have to change their place as soon as they can because These places will include the no-vending zone. For people who can pay the charges have to pay Rs 2000 per month for selling non-essential products and the products that are included in essential products like cycle repair and barbers have to deposit Rs. 1500 per month to Municipal Corporation. People have to take this serious because anyone found to offend this decision will be penalised. MC will do the time to time inspection there and penalized the offenders.
Punjab Government Would Remove The Ban Of Serving Liquor Within 500 Mts Of State & National Highways

There is a good news for all the booze lovers in Punjab who were not happy with the ban of selling liquor within 500 meters of national and state highways across the country because Punjab Government is going to remove these restrictions soon in hotels and restaurants within the area of 500 meters of highways. Punjab Government has given the yes to this proposal. This will surely bring the sigh of relief to the people of Punjab. There were mixed reviews came over this decision but many people who were alcohol vendor near the national and state highways within 500 meters were facing lots of loss and adversely affected by the decision. So, they submitted their petition to the Supreme Court to change the decision.

Supreme Court of India has banned the selling of liquor within 500 meters in last year December and this descion has taken to decrease the accidents that were increasing due to Drink and Drive. Many people were in favor of this but people who were in the business of alcohol have to face lots of loss. In Chandigarh, Sector 26 that was previously attracted lots of crowds because of the booze vendors but now it has lost its spark. Now all the microbreweries that were in the sector 26 will relocate to other places but after that those people are facing the problem of huge rent they have to pay on the new place.

The Punjab Council of Ministers has given their approval to amend Section 26-A of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 to remove the restrictions for liquor vends near highways. But no one will get the approval to open retail vend within 500 meter of highways. But these restrictions would be removed from the existing one.

They also conveyed a message through this hacking that India should not intervene in the matter of Kulbhushan Jadhav and also targeted PM Modi and actor Rishi Kapoor In the message. Kulbhusan Jadhav is the Indian national who was arrested in Balochistan, Pakistan over charges of spying for India’Intellegence Agency.
