Covid Vaccination for Children: Chandigarh Allocates 9 Health Facilities for Covid Jab for Kids in 15-18 Year Age Group
The UT health department allocated some schools and hospitals to start vaccinating kids between 15-18 years of age. According to the latest guidelines issued by the ministry of health and family welfare, PGI to start giving Covid vaccination for children in their Advanced Pediatric Center.

Covid Guidelines For Children

Chandigarh will have health facilities allocated for vaccinating children. Initially, they started with 6 centers and then increased to 9. However, they will grow as there are 72,000 eligible children between 15-18 years. The centers, including the PGI and the GMCH, Sector 32, will attempt to vaccinate at least 200 children each daily.

Dr VK Nagpal, Joint Director, Health Services, said, “We are fully geared up for the vaccination beginning tomorrow and many children have registered for the first dose. We are hopeful of achieving the target of inoculating 72,000-odd children within a month.” Go through the below mentioned Covid guidelines for Children:

Number of Doses To Be Given

First and foremost, the children will receive 2 doses of Cowaxin at an interval of 28 days within their muscle.

Secondly, parents can register their children on the Cowin Application using the Aadhar Card.

Prescribed Protocol

Thirdly, protocol of 30-minute observation after vaccination will be imposed for children. As a precaution, ambulances will be present with each vaccination center. Additionally, two beds have been reserved in the pediatric care ward of the GMCH to take care in case of any post-vaccination issues.

Children to Visit Only Allocated Vaccine Center

Lastly, teams involved in the doorstep vaccination will not carry out Covid vaccination of children. The eligible children are required either to visit the dedicated vaccination center in the specified health facilities or in camps at schools.

Guidelines for booster shots are yet to be issued on January 10 by the UT Admin.

Chandigarh Latest Covid Guidelines: Only Fully-Vaccinated Allowed in Hotels/Restaurants With 50% Capacity

Considering a hike in the Covid-19 cases, the Chandigarh administration announced fresh set of COVID Guidelines. As per the new guidelines, hotels, bars, restaurants, public places in Chandigarh will only allow Fully-Vaccinated to enter. Besides this, there will be a limit on the number of people entering, thereby allowing 50% capacity will be allowed to enter any building. Most importantly, owners and operators will be fined with Rs 5,000 if they violate these rules.

Chandigarh New Covid Guidelines

Furthermore, according to the Chandigarh New Covid Guidelines, the administration announced a cap on wedding guests as the Omicron variant brought a fresh surge of COVID cases in the country.

The orders were earlier proposed on Friday by the UT administration in its meeting led by Adviser Dharam Pal. However, they will be implemented from today, January 1. Additionally, the Admin issued guidelines regarding people wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and limiting gatherings.

Further, Sukhna Lake will remain closed on every Sunday as per the new Covid Guidelines. All the activities including Boating will be closed except from 5:00 Am to 9:00 Am and from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm from Monday to Saturday, with effect from 3rd January, 2022.

In the latest order issued by the State Disaster Management Authority, UT Chandigarh. It says that “Restaurants, hotels, cafes, eateries, marriage palaces and banquet halls in Chandigarh will now open with 50% capacity”.

“Only people who have been vaccinated with both the doses will be allowed to enter in the public places,” the order stated.

Once again, ChandigarhBytes has come up with an annual clothing drive in Chandigarh in association with NGO “I am Still Human”. Its our second time in conducting this donation program in sponsorship with this esteemed NGO for helping and transforming lives of Veterans, underprivileged and women.

We believe to achieve greatness and we must come together as a community. We urge you to take time this holiday season to participate in our clothing drive, volunteer, donate or get involved with the NGO so that we can ensure the youth are protected.

About “I Am Still Human”

‘I Am Still Human’, commonly known as IASH is a youth-centric organization that was established on 23^rd February 2015. Their vision has been empowering the youth and redirecting their energies in ways, which shall help society to progress entirely. IASH began its journey with three flagship projects namely- Project Shaurya (Welfare of the Veterans, Martyr Families, and Indian Armed Forces), Project Siddhi (Welfare of Underprivileged People), and Project Kadam (Women Empowerment) with the sole objective of helping people.

Do’s & Don’ts of Donating Clothes

Follow the guidelines when you donate your used clothing. Check out our recommendations below.

DO’S

1. Donate Clean Items

First and foremost, you want your clothing donations to be fresh and clean for their new owner, right? So, make sure that they are washed before donation.

2. Donate Items that are in Good Condition

Apart from this, avoid donating Ripped/Torn Items. If an item is in good condition, it’s probably perfect for clothing donation.

3. Ensure Proper Packing

Last but not the least, pack the items properly in Cloth/PVC Bag or Solid Bag.

DON’TS

1. No Undergarments

Undies are items that need to be bought new, no matter how cute your old ones are. They are not acceptable for clothing donation.

2. No Weird Smell

If your items have a weird smell, they will not be distributed.

3. No Holes

Finally, if any of your item has a hole in it or is torn, then it’s time to repurpose, recycle, or throw it away. Only consider donating items that are like fresh or gently worn.

Additional Recommendations:

It will be great if you can donate blankets as well. In the raining & freezing nights we would find many poor people living on roads. There are so many of underprivileged who cannot afford even a blanket and die. So, donations of blankets can make a great difference to an individual or organization, especially homeless.

In a nutshell, after the last year’s donation drive overwhelming response, Team ChandigarhBytes, along with the support of NGO “I Am Still Human” and sponsors namely Uncle Jack’s, Sindhi Sweets, Variety Book Store and Inderprastha Orchard’s has come up with a clothing drive in Chandigarh. The volunteers are looking for donations of new or used clothing items for the homeless children, men and women. The clothes will be personally donated by Team ChandigarhBytes at their respective locations. So, with all the heart, participate in the cloth drive and help us keeping our community warm.

Chandigarh MC Elections 2021 Final Results Released

State election commissioner SK Srivastava said the results of the Chandigarh MC elections 2021 will be declared on December 27, Monday. This time, the wards have been increased from 26 to 35. A control room was set up to monitor the daily activities of the elections. Chandigarh Nagar Nigam Chunav results are finally published, keep scrolling to know the full details.

Chandigarh MC elections 2021: Everything You Need to Know About Date, Time, Schedule, Results

Announcing the election schedule on Monday, state election commissioner SK Srivastava said the results of the Chandigarh MC elections 2021 will be declared on December 27; model code of conduct comes into force. This time, the wards have been increased from 26 to 35. A control room has also been set up to monitor the daily activities of the elections.

The city is all set for a three-cornered contest as the Chandigarh municipal corporation (MC) goes to the polls on December 24. Announcing the election schedule on Monday, state election commissioner SK Srivastava said the results will be declared on December 27.

Date:

The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections are scheduled to be held on December 24.

Time:

The polling will start at 7:30 am and conclude at 5 pm.

Schedule:

Polling– 24th December

Counting of votes– 27th December

Results:

The results of the Chandigarh MC elections 2021 will be declared on December 27.

Total Number of Candidates

To begin with, a total of 203 candidates are in the fray for what is expected to turn out into a triangular contest between the BJP, the Congress and the Aam Aadhmi Party.

Total Number of Voters

Secondly, there are about 6,30,311 voters in Chandigarh who will vote across 694 polling booths in Chandigarh. Of these eligible voters, 3,30,713 are male and 2,99,581 are female.

Covid-19 Guidelines
