How To Get High Security Number Plates in Chandigarh? Know Complete Process!

Chandigarh Traffic Police becomes one of the first police force in India who has started issuing HSRP (High Security Registration Plate) challans. The UT Traffic Police has started challaning vehicles without the high-security registration plate (HSRP) and third registration mark (colour-coded sticker). The police stated that as per the orders issued by the Central Government, and subsequent amendment in rule 50 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, installation of HSRP and colour-coded stickers on the vehicle is mandatory. “People should fulfil the requirements as the traffic police will start issuing challans in a week,” the police said.

On the first day, total 16 challans were issued to the violators for such offence. The RLA has asked police to impose a fine of ₹3,000 and ₹5,000 on two- and four-wheelers, respectively, found in violation.

Installing High Security Number Plates becomes Mandatory- Chandigarh Traffic Police.

Residents can apply for affixing HSRP and colour coded stickers at the Registration Licensing Authority (RLA) counters at the SDM offices as per residential address for for old vehicles and at dealer point for new vehicles and at dealer point for new vehicles. Apart from this, people can also avail this service at www.testsecurityplates.com.

“For vehicles registered after the introduction of dealer-point vehicle registration in 2019, the RC was not issued without an HSRP. But, for vehicles registered earlier, there was a lack of uniformity in number plates. To ensure uniformity, as per the latest directions of the ministry of road transport and highways, all Chandigarh-registered vehicles must have only the stipulated HSRP and third registration mark plates. Failure to comply can invite challan,” said Virat, RLA.

It’s the story of two young friends of 22 years of age named Guri and Mania. They are holders of hotel management degrees and later worked in Domino’s Pizza as well. What made them start this business?

Talking about the initial stage of their journey, they shared that they had no support from their parents. And just like a typical mindset, they wished them to have jobs. For the early six months, they didn’t disclose anything to their parents about what they do in Mohali.

However, now, with grit and determination, these two friends decided to start working on a street-food stall. But soon after all this, they decided to quit, invest their savings in building this small venture which has now gathered a huge spotlight. And now, with their lip-smacking Indian street food and their humbleness, they have gone viral among people. And, how can social media be left behind? Various bloggers went to their stall and covered their story and business ideology. They are also known as ‘Smart Sikh Brothers’ and are famous for their style of selling formal suits.
