    SSC CGL 2017: Know About All The Changes This Time

    This year registration for this exam started on 15 May and the last date is 19th for registration as it is extended from 16th of June. In this article, we are highlighting major changes in the SSC CGL 2017 pattern and selection procedure:

    SSC CGL 2017: Date Extended

    Previously, 16 June i.e today was this last date for filling the application form, but now the date has been extended until 19th of June. So, all the students who were unable to fill the exam previously can fill now because they have three more days to fill it.

    Changes In The SSC CGL 2017 

    There are some changes that are done this time in the SSC CGL 2017 and in this article we are going to share about those changes with you all.

    Reduced Exam Timing For Tier 1:

    Last year SSC, for the first time conducted CGL exam in online mode and the duration for tier 1 was 75 minutes. This helped to increase the cut-off marks but now they are going to decrease the time to 60 minutes from 75 minutes. These time reduction of 15 minutes will help to reduce the cut-off.

    Introduction Of New Post:

    There is the introduction of a new post of Assistant Accounts Officer in the Department of Indian Audits & Accounts under CAG this year.

    Changes In Age Limit:

    UPSC NDA and Naval Academy Exam (II): Eligibility Criteria

    Before filling the exam you should have the knowledge of eligibility criteria and read below all the details:

    • Candidates that are unmarried and must be Indian Nationals, a subject of Bhutan or Nepal, Tibetan refugee came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    • To apply for NDA-11 candidates should be born between 2nd January 1999 to 1st July 2002.
    • Candidates should be 12th pass from well-known education board for Army Wing of National Defense Academy
    • Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Math and Physics from a well-known education board for Air Force and Naval Wing.

    The application forms will be available for NDA 2017 II Examination from 7th June 2017. The last to submit applications is 30th June 2017, hence the interested candidates can apply online before the last date. The application fee for the form is given below:

    • For general and OBC students = Rs. 100/-
    • For SC/ST students or Sons of JCOs/NCOs/Ors categories are not required to pay any application fee.

    10.20 lakh students had appeared in the JEE Main exam this year. Sarvesh Mehtani is from the IIT Roorkee zone is the topper and Pune’s Akshat Chugh is from the IIT Bombay zone was in the second position and Delhi’s Ananye Agarwal from the IIT-Delhi zone is placed third in the prestigious advanced entrance exam to the Indian Institutes of Technology. Students who placed in the top 100 ranks, 29 were from the IIT Madras Zone, 26 from the IIT Delhi zone, 25 from the IIT Bombay zone and six from the IIT Kanpur zone. Seat allotment is expected to begin on June 19.

    Mehtani, who is the topper of exam made his aim many years ago to crack highly competitive examination and now he achieved his target. His father is an officer in the Income Tax department he told that his son is very hard working and always he thinks to break into the top 10 in the examination.     The results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017, the entrance exam for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), were declared today at 10 am. Students can check their results on the portal results.jeeadv.ac.in. Officials also declared that students will be given 11 bonus marks for three ambiguous questions that were asked in the paper.

     

    Media reports state that two questions from Mathematics and one question from Physics section were found to be ambiguous. Last year also students got the bonus marks in this exam.

The report adds that qualifying in JEE Advanced 2017 exams and participating in the seat allocation process does not guarantee a candidate to get admission in the IITs. Hence, admission will depend on the availability of seats during various rounds of seat allocation.

    It is surprising but true that Prince Mehra who love birds and wanted to serve them. So he thought of a social service 7 years ago and started “first bird ambulance of the country” for those birds who are speechless, and not able to express their pain. For many years he served these speechless creatures without others help but when others came to know about his work one national bank tried to donate one van to him.

    But Mr. Prince believes in to keep the environment clean from any type of pollution he refused it. But Now he has an E-Bike with the help of this he will save birds in future.

    What Motivated Him To Start This Service 

    Mehra, a signboard painter, started the ambulance service to provide medical care to injured birds and also to dispose of carcasses of birds found dead on the roadside in 2011. He receives motivation to start this service from the incident that happened in Ferozpur. He says in 2011, during a visit to Ferozpur, he saw a sweeper throwing the carcasses of two pigeons, which had died due to a short circuit,  into the dustbin. He took out both carcasses and buried these in a nearby pit. After this incident, he decided to start this campaign in the City Beautiful to ask residents to be more sensitive to birds. To popularize his mission, he moves around the city on his modified bicycle, which has a hand-made medicine box and his contact number on it. Now he got e-bike and now he will provide his services in this.

    How He Provide Treatment To Birds:

    According to Prince till now he has disposed around carcasses of 552 birds in the city and also treated many birds. He said last year he got a job in animal husbandry department because of Chandigarh Administration and this is very helpful for him to serve birds. He added that if birds are not seriously injured then he treat them in his home otherwise he provide them treatment in Department hospital. He also distributes earthen pots to the residents and requests them to fill them with water every day for birds. Now residents also inform him about injured bird. However, this bird lover does not solely depend on these calls, but himself moves around the city on his bicycle to find out if any bird is lying injured on the road so that he can provide medication.

    For his good work, he has got his name in Limca Book of Records, India Book Of Records, Unique Book Of Records, and also Chandigarh Administration has given him state award. We will give him all the best for his work in future and also salute him because he is helping those creatures who can not express their pain.

There are 12 visually impaired students in this institute and all the students have passed with good grades. The institute’s topper Ritik Goyal scored CGPA 9.8 and Devashish Barua, a resident of Ram Darbar, Phase-I, who scored CGPA 9.6. The third position in the institute was bagged by three students, including Saurav, Muskan, and Suman. They all scored CGPA 8.8.
