Cafe JC’s is one of the classiest and best cafes in Chandigarh with comfort written over it. (metaphorically, duh!!). The Café has a versatile menu offering a wide variety of comfort food cuisines starting from English Breakfast too, Continental, Italian, Oriental, and North Indian. They have got one of the prettiest ambiances with Wooden outdoor seating, potted plants, lamps, and fairy lights. All the ingredients required for the perfect Instagrammable photos. The chic, beautiful minimalistic indoor seating compliments the vibes of the outdoor seating. This restaurant is a total catch when it comes to spending a good time. The food is also tasty. The chicken sandwiches and Chinese starters are my personal favorites.

2. Virgin courtyard Chandigarh

Virgin Courtyard brings the vibe of Italy in the city beautifully laid in French architecture. As soon as you enter this beautiful place, you will surely be mesmerized by the stone steps with water running by the side. Wait till you reach the inside of the place or I may say Outside. The seating is amidst a perfectly mowed lawn, surrounded by delicately groomed trees with the perfect amount of lamps & lighting. The white walls, cobblestone floor, and patio are just enough for spending a cozy hour under the sun on winter noon.

They have their décor team which even spice things up to a heavenly level when you book the place for a pre-wedding event or cocktail party. The food is as amazing as the ambiance. They serve delicacies including banana pizza in their dessert menu. This is a 10/10 place for anything and everything.

Four Folks is a Multicuisine café and bakery. The restaurant was recently born but yet manage to make a feature on this list. It might not be as fancy as the other cafes described above, but still has a touch of comfort. Families feast, friends bond, and lovers love at four folks. The ambiance is inspired by a street with peppy door frames and quirky wall art. The cafe is extremely Instagramable bringing out the most aesthetic pictures.

Divyanshu Batra, a 21-year-old boy recently went through a difficult breakup. In an interview with a newspaper, he told his story of how his girlfriend dumped him and he was heartbroken by it.

Uski Kahaani, Ussi Ki Zubaani….

‘I had a girlfriend from my high-school days with whom I broke-up last year as her parents were against us going together. After that, I was depressed for about six months and spent my time only playing PUBG. Then one day, I thought it’s enough and I will get out of this, and that’s how the idea of this popped up.’- Said Divyanshu

Along with his brother, he opens this breakup themed cafe in the town. His father was not supportive of the name art first, but when cafe’s sales start booming, he eventually gave his thumbs up to his son’s business.

The cafe is located at the GMS Road area of the capital and opened up in mid-December, just a month ago. It’s attracting a lot of young people who are themselves dealing with heartache.

Food prepared by them gives you an overwhelming flavour in your mouth whenever you will think about it later. We would surely recommend this café to everyone to visit it at least once over a cup of coffee with someone.

 The Willow café

To enjoy your evening Willows would be a subtle and different place to visit. It is nestled in the Sector 10 market. The ambience and the interiors are soothing and relaxing. They have separate outdoor sitting as well to enjoy the weather along with sumptuous food. Their homemade ice creams are a must try ones!!

Rustic Door

Looking for a romantic evening place, then this could be your dream date place in Sector 10. A first look at the café reciting the Funky name (Rustic Door) grabs your attention and forces you to enter. Rustic Door provides you with dime a dozen options of food. Music plays simply sets your mood for a romantic date. Italian food will surely win your heart away.

Backpackers Café

Backpackers Café has maintained its name and fame in the market despite the new competitors coming up. You definitely need to try this café for any sorts of meals either for breakfast or for evening coffee chit chats. Backpackers is a gem to Sector 9 Chandigarh market.

Nabobs Café and Pub

Hunting a place for your drinks this could be the one. Nabobs serve North Indian as well as Italian cuisine. Dahi kebab served by them are must have ones. It is basically a place with good food, amazing ambience and the best place to hang out with friends.

It looks like an old school house from the outside, complete with a white picketed fence. It’s 5 in the evening, an odd time to visit so the place is empty except for one table. The place looks like an English pub from the 80s. The interiors, even the music take you back to an era long gone by.

The staff is courteous and attend you right away. They also don’t mind the fact that you are waiting half an hour for your companion to arrive. xD

What we ordered at The Back Room Sector 34:

Pasta Alla Vodka Brush- the vegetarian version, and of course, with white sauce and without the vodka. What I really liked about the dish that the serving was generous for two persons. However, it was a bit undercooked for my liking. But I guess it was just me as my companion thoroughly seemed to like it. Though I am sure the bread served with it was pretty average.

I also ordered a Berry Blast which was served in a mason jar. First impressions- it looked really pretty. It was quite different from the rest of the smoothies/shakes I have had. But I certainly liked it a lot. It wasn’t very sweet and the flavors burst into your mouth.

Verdict: 

I have heard a lot about The Back Room so wanted to try it. I am not sure it really matched up to those standards but I would certainly want to try it again to give it another chance. Because though the pasta was just a teeny bit of a letdown, the overall experience of the place was amazing especially the staff. They have one of the most pleasant staff in the Tri-City hands down.
