    From today onwards the Chandigarh Airport will remain opened till 10:00 pm. Due to the bad weather in December at the Chandigarh International Airport, the last flight operated was at 5:55 pm. As the weather is improving the airlines have changed their Flight Schedule. The runway of the Chandigarh international Airport is under the administration of Air Force Department so the civil planes are granted permission to operate from 8:00 am in the morning till 10:00 pm at night.     • Monday onwards the Jet Airways flight from Chandigarh to New Delhi will depart at 9:40 pm. Earlier this flight was operated at 4:10 pm in the evening.

    • Hyderabad to Chandigarh will depart at 11:00 am and arrive at Chandigarh by 1:45 pm.
    • Chandigarh to Hyderabad will depart at 2:15 pm and arrive at Hyderabad by 4:35 pm.

    • Initially the fare has been kept Rs.3000/- but it is subjected to change with respect to availability of seats.

Due to the demand of people, the Chennai flight will be connecting to Kochi as well. The Chandigarh to Chennai flight will reach by 6:55 pm and the Kochi flight will be available at 8:30 pm. By May, 2017 there will be three international flights commencing from Chandigarh International Airport.     A one-way trip between Hyderabad and Chennai will cost Rs. 2999. The fare from Chennai to Chandigarh will be Rs 4,152 while from Chandigarh, it will cost Rs 4,059. The Prices are subject to change according to the seat availability with a course of time.

    With this, as many as 32 new domestic flights will start from the city, beginning February 20.

    Chandigarh to Goa Flight: Call it a new year gift or another feat, the city beautiful will be soon connected to major cities in India this year as stated by the airport authority officials on Tuesday.

    “We are hopeful that in 2017, we will have flights to four new cities. We are in talks with few airlines and they have shown interest in it.”

    Currently, there are 24 domestic flights that are operating from the Chandigarh International Airport connecting it to different parts of the country and two international flights to Dubai and Sharjah had started in September 2016 by Indigo Airlines and Air India Express respectively. It is being said that Pune, Goa, Hyderabad, Leh and Chennai will be soon connected to Chandigarh as the work for commencing the flights for these routes has already begun.

    Furthermore, Dutt said that the authority believes that the traffic from Chandigarh itself is quite massive and thus international flights will also be launched soon.
