According to the Anuj Saini, son of Nek Chand his father made many dolls from the unused clothes that he collected from the tailors and these dolls would be displayed in this Rag Dolls Village. This village will show the glimpse of rural life and make it more attractive for all the tourists.

New Things That Would Be Included:

Rock Garden is a world famous tourist place. A large number of internationals tourists visits the garden every day. Two new projects will be a tribute to the legendary, Nek Chand, whose second death anniversary is on June 12.

• Bullock carts, wells and other features of the villages will be displayed in the rock garden soon that will make it more attractive.
• The Museum is going to establish in the Rock garden.
• Musem will display personal collections of Nek Chand that will include his awards that he received in his lifetime and his bicycle on which he collected all the waste material to make a Rock Garden.
• There is also plan to open a new exit route for the visitors.
•  A new waterfall is also being planned in the garden.
• Personal collection of daily-life things used by Nek Chand to be exhibited too
• Ragdolls that are prepared by using rag pieces of clothes.

Nek Chand who always believed that we can get best out of waste and he follow this till the end of his life. He used all the waste things and made beautiful Rock Garden with his hard work. This Rock garden is famous worldwide and even international tourist appreciate his work. To give him Tribute Chandigarh Administration is decided a day of his second Death Anniversary that is on 12 June.

Mini Replica Will Include:

• Mr. Saini who is the landscaper and a member of the Rock Garden Society, designing the mini-rock garden in Rajbhawan.
• UT has also identified a place to install all the sculpture on the left side while entering the main gate of Raj Bhawan.
• All the famous sculptures of the garden will be installed at Raj Bhawan
• The plan is to install sculptures of ducks, peacocks, dogs, wolves and deer.
• Sculptures that they are going to install will be made of concrete, steel reinforcement, and waste material.

The Cost For Mini Replica:

The rock garden that always gives us a message that how can we get best from all waste things and its colorful sculptures give everyone a feeling of peace or tranquility. Now UT administration is ready to replicate it in Raj Bhawan and cost decided to spend on this project is Rs 14.25 Lakh. Anuj Saini, son of Nek Chand who created Rock Garden, had held a meeting with the administrator and prepared a design for the mini replica. This idea of UT administration is welcomed by all and soon Rajbhawan will get the mini replica of Rock garden in the entrance. Such places can give inspiration to everyone to work out one’s imagination.

After the Doll’s Museum at Rock Garden in Chandigarh, the Rock Garden Society has taken an initiative to have some events at Phase3 of Rock Garden. Details of the First Cultural Evening

The First Cultural Evening at the Rock Garden was a huge success. Some of the Chandigarh artists had put up an art exhibition where the local artists did live painting at the Phase2 of Rock Garden. The exhibition also comprised of certain dance and musical performances, some children from slum areas also participated in the dance performances.

The Home Secretary appreciated the initiative taken by the Rock Garden Society of Chandigarh. These Cultural evening will act as a platform for the artists who are wandering to display their talent and earn fame in a way.

Who can perform at these Cultural Evening?

All the local artists are allowed to perform with any kind of talent. Artists from the varied background like music, dance, mimicry, plays, magic shows, comedy and anything are most welcome to perform and entertain people.

Apart from the Cultural Evenings the Rock Garden Society has another good news as they are introducing permanent lights in the Open Air Theatre in Phase2 and this plan shall be implemented by 2-3months. Now, Rock Garden will be having this beautiful Doll Museum for the display of the people. There will be 150 dolls in this museum and the height of these dolls will be around 5-6 feet. Last year, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of France Francois Hollande visited this Rock Garden the dolls were displayed for welcoming them.

The work of this museum is at full speed to be open to the public by March. This Doll Museum will not only contain these dolls but will have some other creative things made from waste. These artists work will be appreciated for such impressive work.  The administration is planning to invite some of these artists for the inauguration function of this museum.

Rock garden’s aesthetic beauty is full set to charm the people with this new innovative museum. The museum will be having dolls made for waste cloth materials and will be open for public by March 2017.
