New consulate General of Canada office is opened in Chandigarh and it is situated in the Elante mall’s office complex. Canadian defense minister Harjit Singh Sajjan inaugurated it today in the morning. Earlier office was situated in the sector 17. 
Services will be provided by consulate office:
- They will help in visa services;
- Service to help Indian companies do business in Canada
- Canadian companies will also able to get services from here
- they will provide services to Canadian citizens and residents of India or Bhutan
Harjit Singh Sajjan
Harjit Singh Sajjan born on September 6, 1970, and is the Canadian liberal politician. he is the first Sikh to become a minister of Defence in Canada and he was first elected in 2015 federal election.
Sajjan was also the first Sikh Canadian to command a Canadian army regiment. In Elante mall Chandigarh he inaugurated consulate General of Canada office.
