Chandigarh Municipal Corporation launched the service of providing SMS and email alerts for property tax payments. Through that, UT MC started intimating residents of their property tax demand and recovery notices through SMS and E-mail.
The civic body has provided a 20% rebate to residential property taxpayers and a 10% rebate to commercial entities for the fiscal year 2024-25. The last date for paying your property tax in Chandigarh is May 31.
After that, if they fail to pay, they will have to pay a 25% penalty over the entire amount besides 12% interest. Additionally, an outstanding tax from the date the tax bill is issued until the date the payment will be made.

An Online Portal for Chandigarh Residents To Pay Property Tax
No need to queue up in long lines as the Chandigarh Administration has launched a portal/website for the citizens for the Payment of Property Tax in Chandigarh. The Online Electricity Bill and water bill facility will help citizens make these bill payments from their homes only.
This facility was started on Aug 2015 and inaugurated by UT adviser Vijay Dev. You can pay your property tax via net banking, debit card or credit card.

1. Go/Open the official website sampark.chd.nic.in
First and foremost, open the online website sampark.chd.nic.in to proceed with your online property tax payment.
2. Click on the Quick Pay Option & then Property Tax
Secondly, under the ‘Quick Pay’ drop-down, click on the Property Tax.
3. Read all the instructions carefully
Further, the next page will show you the details/instructions on how to pay property tax online in Chandigarh. Read all the details carefully and then click on the proceed button. On the next page, there are two options for Property ID and House No.
1. Search your property details with Property ID
Your property details will appear on the screen and you have to click on send OTP(One Time Password) which will be sent to your registered mobile number. Then enter it in the OTP window to make a successful online payment.
2. Search your property details with House No & Sector No
Under this, a list of property details will appear on your screen and after clicking on your details your property ID will appear then you have to click on send OTP(One Time Password) which will be sent to your registered mobile number which you have to enter in OTP window to make a successful online payment.
4. Redirect to the Main Payment Page
Lastly, after filling in your details in whichever mode you select, the page will redirect to the main Payment page where you can also check all your property details. Now, select any payment option and you will be able to pay your property tax.
