]]> After VP Badnore recommendation to the Union home ministry, Chandigarh is likely to get its first woman senior superintendent of Police  (SSP). IPS officer Jagdale Nilabari Vijay presently posted as Ropar SSP. Name of Nilambari Vijay, who is 2008-Batch officer is included in the list of three officers that were received from the Punjab Government. Other two officers in the list are S Bhoopati and he is 2007 batch IPS officer and Naveen Singla who is 2009 batch officer.

On April 5, the UT Administration had received a panel of officers which included the names of Jagdale Nilambari Vijay, S Bhoopati and Inderbir Singh. However, Inderbir’s name was dropped from the panel because he was involved in the case in which he was extorting money from farmers and also he threatened them that he will implicate them in a murder case.
